Writer and comedian

Having started as a stand-up comedian, Sanjeev Bhaskar began working on a variety of BBC radio productions culminating in the comedy sketch series Goodness Gracious Me. Having successfully transferred to television, the series is now in its fourth year and has been nominated twice for an Emmy. At the beginning of last year, Sanjeev signed a three-picture writing deal with Miramax films. He is currently starring in the new BBC comedy series, Meet the Kumars, which he also wrote and devised.
