Kate Summerscale: Literary Editor, Daily Telegraph
Kate Summerscale has been Literary Editor of the Daily Telegraph since 1999.She has also worked as Obituaries Editor of the Daily Telegraph and as Editor of the Independent on Sunday's magazine. Her book The Queen of Whale Cay, a biography of the cross-dressing heiress ''Joe'' Carstairs, won a Somerset Maugham award in 1998 and was shortlisted for the Whitbread biography prize.
