Colin Brabazon: Head of Children’s Library Services,
North Lincolnshire Council

Colin has been with North Lincolnshire Libraries since 1989, and is now Head of Children’s Services. He is vice-chair of the CILIP Youth Libraries Group which, as well as representing the interests of children’s libraries and librarians, judges the Carnegie and Kate Greenaway Medals on behalf of CILIP.

Favourite books: Pax Britannica trilogy by Jan Morris, Great Expectations, Brideshead Revisited by Evelyn Waugh, His Dark Materials trilogy by Philip Pullman, Postcards from No-Man’s Land by Aidan Chambers, The Cricket in Times Square by George Selden, The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle, plus anything by Jan Mark, Geraldine McCaughrean or Peter Dickinson.
