Joan Bakewell CBE: Writer and Broadcaster  (Chairman)
Educated at Cambridge, Joan Bakewell began her broadcasting career with BBC radio in the 1950’s.  Since her TV debut in 1963, she has been a regular presenter of both television and radio, becoming BBC Television’s Arts Correspondent in the 1980’s.    She has also written and presented two series for the BBC, written four radio plays, and published three books.  Joan is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and is an Honorary Fellow of the Royal College of Art and of Royal Holloway College, London University.
