Caroline Gascoigne has been on the staff of The Sunday Times for 12 years, and as Literary Editor for the past four. She has been a judge of both the Booker Prize (2000) and the Samuel Johnson Prize (2002), and is a Patron of the Sunday Times Oxford Literary Festival. Favourite books: Her favourite novel remains Middlemarch, but she reads widely across all genres, particularly fiction, memoirs and biography.
